Roy Mann, Principal & Managing Director
Roy Mann has more than 15 years experience in real estate strategy development, and negotiating innovative deals as a consultant and transaction program manager. His work has included finding new space for leading Seattle companies from the global health field and the tech sector. Previously Roy worked at Microsoft where he oversaw their Latin America portfolio and developed a rigorous methodology that contributed to his team’s recognition as Fiscal Year 2013 Service Provider of the Year for Market Agility. He also co-founded a malaria partnership that raised $1 million for malaria prevention in Africa and won a 2011 RESULTS Seeds of Hope award for exemplary, innovative, and strategic work.
Marianne Stover, Principal & Business Director
Marianne Stover is a Seattle lifer with a diverse background in marketing, finance, and non-profit work. She has worked for Royal Bank of Canada Wealth Management, Aegis Assisted Living and Memory Care, OneAmerica, and Washington New Americans among others. She has a broad array of skills ranging from active empathetic listening to creating and maintaining innovative business strategies and management systems. Marianne received both her MBA and her Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies from Seattle University.
Rachel Ben-Shmuel, Entitlements Manager
Rachel Ben-Shmuel has over 35 years’ experience with entitlement of projects in the City of Seattle and over a decade of experience working for both Seattle and King County governments, including King County Metro, the Seattle Planning Commission the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspection, and the Department of Transportation. From 2005 to 2015, she worked as Senior Project Manager-Entitlements for Vulcan Real Estate, managing the entitlement for Vulcan’s projects in South Lake Union for both office and residential development. She left Vulcan in March of 2015 to work as an entitlement consultant. Rachel has a deep understanding of the people, practices, and procedures of the City of Seattle. She has a BA from the University of Wisconsin in history, an MA from the University of Washington in history/political science, and is a LEED Green Associate.
Len Holm, Construction Consultant
Len spent ten years with Baugh Construction Company (now Skanska) in Seattle as a senior project manager. His Construction Management skills were utilized on numerous types and sizes of projects and covered the complete array of project management responsibilities. Since 1993, Len has taught construction management classes in real estate development, project management, and construction leadership for the University of Washington. Len founded Holm Construction Services in 1994 after receiving requests from several industry participants for consulting and owner’s representative assistance. Len received bachelor degrees in Building Construction and Economics, and a Masters degree in Construction Management, from the University of Washington. Len has authored numerous publications on project and construction management and has served on two advisory boards through the University of Washington’s Department of Construction Management.
Elizabeth Scallon, Advisor
Elizabeth Scallon has extensive experience managing operations and facilities for numerous organizations in the Puget Sound region. As the Senior Operations Manager for VLST Corporation, a biotech firm in Seattle, she managed two company-wide relocation projects with tenant improvements and ran a Mini-Incubator program that provided space for four startup biotechnology companies. Elizabeth received her Global Executive MBA from Georgetown University and ESADE, Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Seattle University.
